Francis Bacon – Two Figures

how is it gonna be
when we meet again?

will you love me?
or treat me with disdain?

will we be friends?
or hate each other in vain?

so many questions unanswered…
and all i want is you in my bed.

  1. This is written with so much honesty and vulnerability; beautiful, Nanda!

      yes, indeed.
      thank you, hun! 🙂

  2. What a great choice of a painting! Francis Bacon left these figures purposefully veiled, so that just as in your poem, we may not know the emotion or even the act that we see. ♥

the painting is indeed amazing, right?! love it!

  3. Awesome poem and the last line: “To I-hope-he-knows-who.” just topped it off with a hit of reality for your art, which comes from the heart.
    Happy holidays!

i love that you rhyme even in my comments, Scott! haha.
oh, those poets… gotta love them! 😉
    happy holidays for you too!
