Stranger with a wounded heart

Kenal Louis – The passionate ones (detail)

You undress me easily:
not just my body
but also mind and soul.

Around you there’s no disguise
no acting, no masks.

You know how to please my body.
You know how to feed my soul.

*

I know nothing from you.
Just a thing your eyes can’t deny:
you have a wounded heart.

Such an unmasking, but ultimately the connections built on no secrets stand as the strongest. *like*

  2. This really caused me to stop and think, not just because of this poem but in conjunction with several others you’ve written. There is this theme about the one-way relationship, at least you know, when it comes to an open heart. But it’s like as long as his heart stays closed, it’s okay. It’s when it opens up that things go awry. Maybe that’s just me reflecting my own stuff on your poetry… but you made me stop and think. Again. ♥

Oh, Annie… I read your comment 3 times already. I think you hit the jackpot. I’m brainstorming right now… Talk to you later! ♥
