The bright side of everything

Pauline Stephens – Grantham

the sepia tone my window is in,
the soft rain touching my nose,
and the chicken on the stove
made me realise
how fortunate we are.

*

it could’ve been worse:
i could be trapped forever
to an incredible asshole.

The inspiration came watching the rain while waiting for the chicken filling of my pie cool down.

  1. Haha, I dream of being trapped with an incredible ass… probably not the same thing. I love the first line in this. It makes it sound like your window’s in a mood.

    Poetry falls from you
    so beautifully naturally.

    Is clearly your blood
    flow.

      It is, isn’t it? Don’t know what I’d do without poetry… ❤
