A Dickinsonian birthday

Salvador Dalí – Glass of wine and boat

years and years
left behind
so one New
can begin–

and i, i dwell in possibilities–
and my boat has no port–

and my dreams are so big
that i float adrift–

and my life is a mess
but i couldn’t care less–

we’ll have wine
and nice talks–
love is all around
inside and out–

Yep, I’m the birthday girl today. Not every day you turn 27, peeps!

  1. I have been 27 for the last 16yrs…Not to old not to young just that perfect age to stop ageing and live in total denial. Have a wonderful birthday 🙂

Hahahaha! It made me laugh! My 18th birthday was like yesterday… and here i am, haha. Denial sounds sweet to me right now, lol

    27! Sheesh, I’ve got 31 years on 27.

Happy Birthday! Yes, wine, perhaps some nibbling cheese, and lots of good conversation. Enjoy.
